As we head into the latest international break, around 30% of the 2021/22 English Premier League season is complete. So now feels like a good time to take a look over the campaign so far, particularly from a betting perspective.

2021/22 Premier League Winner Market

Back in August, Manchester City were heavy favourites to lift the 2021/22 Premier League trophy. Little has changed after 11 games, with Pep Guardiola’s men essentially the same price. A few firms, such as Paddy Power have eased their odds a little and the best price is now 1.80.

Chelsea are currently sitting top of the pile with 26 points, three clear of City. As a result, the Blues have been chopped into a best price of 3.75 (Betway) from their pre-season odds of 6.00.

Also just three points behind City are surprise packages West Ham. Unfancied at a three-figure price back in August, the Hammers are now as short as 56.00 with Paddy Power to win the title.

2021/22 EPL Top Scorer Market

Before a ball had been kicked, Harry Kane was the shortest priced player in the 2021/22 Premier League top scorer market. This was understandable, as he won the honour last season in a disappointing Spurs side. Not to mention the fact that he was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City. But his disappointing EPL campaign so far has seen his odds drift to a best price of 26.00 with Betvictor.

Mo Salah, on the other hand, has been on fire for Liverpool. The Reds are four points off the top of the EPL table in fourth place, but Salah already leads the goalscoring charts. The Egyptian has already netted 10 times, three more than nearest rival Jamie Vardy with seven.

As a result, Salah leads the betting at a best price of 1.91 with Betvictor. Though Vardy still remains a bigger price than several other players, and could represent a value bet.

2021/22 Premier League Relegation

Norwich were fancied for the drop before the season had begun, so their poor start should be no surprise. The Canaries have only won once all season and are rooted firmly to the bottom. As such, their price to go down is already as short as 1.17 with Betway.

The other sides promoted to the EPL, Watford and Brentford, are enjoying mixed fortunes. The Bees got off to a fabulous start, which has seen their odds drift right out to 5.50 (10bet). But the Hornets look to be in trouble and have shortened up to 1.57 (William Hill).

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace were fourth in the relegation betting ahead of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, but they now look to be safe. Their best price for the drop is now as big as 17.00 with Betway.
