La Liga action has burst straight back into life with the race for the title looking as though it will go down to the last few games. It really could go either way and, of course, it’s between the usual top two teams but with such small margins every game is going to count.

As it stands, Real Madrid are looking the more likely with Barcelona picking up two draws since the season restarted already. Elsewhere, the race for the third position is still alive with Athletico Madrid, Sevilla, Villarreal, and Getafe all likely contenders to take the spot.

What are the tipsters predicting?

Real Madrid vs Getafe

Real Madrid are targeting the La Liga title and on current form, they look the most likely. Karim Benzema is producing the type of performances that we know he can deliver and he’s spearheading the Madrid attack on that title.

Madrid will also be boosted by the return of midfield maestro Luka Modric and the fact that Getafe center-back Djene is banned puts further pressure on the away team. Given the importance of three points and current form, we would say a home win is the best bet, but Madrid has not been winning by much so a 1-0 win could be the right move.

Athletico Madrid vs Mallorca

Athletico Madrid are usually chasing the two leaders and they find themselves yet again on top of the chasing pack in 3rd.

Their opponents this time around is in the shape of Mallorca and while they are struggling near the bottom of the league and fighting for every point, the solid formation of Athletico should be too much for Mallorca to break down.

The class upfront will be the difference here and all eyes will be on a home win.

Granada vs Valencia

Valencia travel over to Granada on Saturday night in what will be a mid-table clash and with only a few points between the teams, it will be a hard one to call.

Both teams don’t have much to play for and so this might lead to an entertaining clash with goals at either end. You would imagine Valencia to eventually come out as winners come the final whistle but while Granada are now slipping down the table, they have shown throughout the season so far that they have more than enough to cause the bigger teams trouble.
