To trigger the Bad Beat Jackpot, the following criteria must be met:
The poker hand must be played at a Texas Hold’em table, designated as a “Jackpot Table”.
The hand must include at least four participating players.
The hand must have been played to a showdown.
Rake and jackpot contributions must have been deducted from the pot.
The hand must include a highest ranking hand and a second highest ranking hand, including both hole cards.
The hand must be four of a kind 10s or better.
Who gets what?
When the Paradise Poker Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered, players participating in the poker hand will have 70% of the prize pool distributed amongst them. 10% is retained by the house as an administration fee, while 20% is kept to fund the next Bad Beat Jackpot.
Of the 70% to be shared amongst the players:
50% is awarded to the player who held the “bad beat” hand (the second highest ranking hand).
25% is awarded to the player who held the winning hand (the highest ranking hand).
25% is shared by all of the players dealt into the hand. This includes players who sat out, or left the table during the hand.
