Mercedes have record three 1-2 finishes in the first three races of the season.Now the first European race of the season in Baku next weekend
This has been a season of some unexpected results with Mercedes capitalising on Ferrari problems. In Australia Ferrari were worried about cooling problems and had to sacrifice pace for reliability. In Bahrain LeClerc hit reliability problems after Ferrari dominated the race weekend for pace and then in China Mercedes qualified one-two, Hamilton beat Bottas off the start and led flag to flag for his second win of the season.
Azerbaijan is half street circuit and half a mile long start finish straight. Mercedes is exceptional in the corners, Ferrari probably has an advantage on outright pace. How will this play out? Well the markets aren’t quite sure befitting the season’s uncertainties so far.

Complicating matters, Honda is preparing to introduce an upgrade for its engine for this race for Red Bull. This will produce 20bhp more and should help close the gap to the top two teams
With Mercedes more reliable,backing Ferrari over them seems a game. Hamilton to assert his dominance once more at 15/8 with Betfair Sportsbook and Paddy Power appears to be the safest bet.
