Mumbai Indians v Chennai Super Kings , Hyderabad
The conclusion of the 2019 IPL takes place in Hyderabad on Sunday.
The closely matched group stages saw Mumbai, with three IPL victories to date, top the table with 9 wins and CSK finish 2nd also with 9 wins. Mumbai beat CSK in the final qualifier on Monday before CSK rebounded to beat Delhi in the semi final.
CSK who have also won the IPL 3 times, are a very experienced team relying on tactics and guile plus the match winning abilities of Dhoni and this is very much an “elclasico” between the IPL’s big two sides with six combined victories in 10 years and the winners in the last two years.
Mumbai were unconvincing for much of the group stages but were at full steam in the last fortnight. South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton De Kock has been at the top of their batting ranks with 500 runs including four fifties and a hundred whilst Bumrah with 17 wickets has been effective spearhead of the bowling attack
For CSK Dhoni is top run scorer 405 runs and he has won a number of games as a late innings finisher. At the top of the order DuPlessis, Watson and Raina provide support. In the the bowling attack the reliance is on spin with Tahir, Harbhajan and Jadeja who have combined for 54 wickets.
This could be a classic, and at odds of CSK 10/11 and Mumbai 11/10 with BetVictor my preference is for the outsider.
