The second of three successive race weekends, this time in Spielberg Austria home of Red Bull.

In France last weekend Lewis Hamilton took advantage of the new Mercedes engine spec to qualify on pole, lead while Vettel and Bottas tangled and have a pillar to post victory to take back the lead of the drivers championship by 14 points.
Mercedes have won the last two races in Austria, and with the upgraded engine best placed to benefit from the two long straights that begin and end the lap are going to be favourites to win again. The Red Bulls are likely to be strong in the twisty and technical third sector of the lap but that is not where the overtaking opportunities are.

The circuit is 700m above sea level so engine reliability and power is crucial though of course the real wild card for this season is tyre performance and here with lots of undulations and off camber corners there is variance involved for betting markets

Prices in the outright market are

Hamilton 11/10
Vettel 2/1
Ricciardo 7/1
Verstappen 7/1
Bottas 9/1
Raikkonen 20/1
Each way terms with Skybet at 1/3 the odds two places

Bottas has had no luck at all this season, two punctures amongst his misfortunes but at the prices is value in this race, each way. He won the race last year, should qualify well and some mean reversion in the randomness stakes is overdue.
