Two more weeks for the group stages ahead of the Quarter finals.
Matches this weekend as follows, all times BST, all prices William Hill
Friday 6th July
8.35am Crusaders v Highlanders
The Highlanders lost their match against the Chiefs in the first half, going into the break 45-0 down, they recovered to score 22 unanswered points in the second half but the loss pushed them below the Chiefs in the New Zealand conference into fourth place
The Crusaders will be the number one seed in the post season, currently with a 12-2 record and no game last week after the international break. The Crusaders -7 at 10/11 is the favoured bet.
10.45am Reds v Rebels
Both sides lost last weekend, the Reds were in Auckland and went down to the Blues 39-16. They have won only 4 of 14 games this season. The Rebels lost to the Waratahs 31-26 in a key game at the top of the conference, and now with a 7-7 record their hopes of the post-season are now in the balance, as the potential 8th seed. The Rebels -4 at 10/11 given the likely varying motivations of the teams seems fair.
Saturday 7th July
6.15am Chiefs v Brumbies
The Chiefs rose into 3rd place in the New Zealand conference with a 45-21 win over the Highlanders and are now the provisional fifth seed for the play offs.
The Brumbies, in what has been a disappointing season, produced one of the shock wins of it. They beat the Hurricanes 24-12 for their sixth win of the season
The Chiefs should win but -14 looks toppy. The Brumbies with improved form at +14 is favoured at 10/11.
8.35am Hurricanes v Blues
The Hurricanes suffered a setback at the top of the New Zealand conference in losing to the Brumbies and their 10-4 record is now only good for a potential fourth seed in the play-offs
They have a chance to get back on track here against the worst of the New Zealand teams. Despite beating the Reds, the Blues have only won 4 out of 14 games.
The Hurricanes need to bounce back but the 14 point handicap supremacy leaves nothing to chance. No bet.
10.45am Waratahs v Sunwolves
The Waratahs consolidated their position at the top of the Australian conference besting the Rebels and are set for the third seed play off berth.
The Sunwolves beat the Bulls 42-37 for their third win of the season.
The Waratahs will probably cover -15 but this again leaves nothing to go at, no bet.
2.05pm Bulls v Jaguares
In going down to the Sunwolves in Tokyo the Bulls fell to their ninth defeat of the season and they are out of play-of contention.
The Jaguares beat the Stormers 25-14 to record their 9th win of the season and are currently slated for the seventh seed in the post-season
As one point favourites at the Bulls, the Jaguares can be supported at 10/11
4.15pm Stormers v Sharks
The Stormers have only won 5 of their 15 games this season and face the Sharks who shook upthe top of the South African conference in beating the Lions 31-24
The Sharks are now just outside the play-off spits so all to play for here.
The Sharks -1 at 10/11 is probably the best bet of the week.
