Friday 22nd March
6.35am Blues v Highlanders
The Blues come to this match off a bye week with a 1-3 win/loss record while the Highlanders match versus the Crusaders last weekend was cancelled due to the Christchurch terrorist attack so they go into this game with a 2-1-2 record.
The Blues are three point home underdogs at 10/11. Performances are generally improved this year compared to last, without the results in the win column to show for it yet and the Highlanders should be capable of covering -3
Saturday 23rd March
6.35am Hurricanes v Stormers
The Hurricanes went to the Chiefs in Week 5 and drew 23-23. Their overall record is now 3-1-1, good for second place in the New Zealand conference
The Stormers beat the Jaguares 35-8 last weekend to make it three wins in a row after their heavy opening round loss.
An away game at a New Zealand franchise is by far their toughest game of the season to date, reflected in the Stormers being 15 point underdogs here. No bet
8.45am Waratahs v Crusaders
The Waratahs lost 19-13 at the Brumbies last weekend and after four matches played have a 2-2 win-loss record
The Crusaders match at the Highlanders cancelled due to Christchurch terrorist attack and they go into this match with four wins and that draw on their record
The Crusaders are the best team in the competition and therefore priced up at 12 point favourites at 10/11, a spread I think they will cover.
10.55am Sunwolves v Lions
The Sunwolves are becoming more competitive. They lost 31-34 at home to the Reds last week their 4th loss in five games this season but generally by lower margins than last season.
The Lions beat the Rebels at home last weekend 36-33 for their third win in five games and should cover -9 at 10/11 here.
1.05pm Bulls v Chiefs
The Chiefs hosted the Hurricanes in Week 5 and drew 23-23, earning their first point of season after 4 losses to start off.
The Bulls come off a bye week with a 3-1 record and into their first game this season against New Zealand opposition, priced up as five point favourites at 10/11. I think the Chiefs are the value +5
3.15pm Sharks v Rebels
The Sharks come off their bye week with a 2-2 record while the Rebels lost their first match of their South African tour 36-33 at the Lions, their first defeat of the season. At +4 I like the Rebels to bounce back here at 10/11 on the point spread.
Sunday 24th March
5.05am Reds v Brumbies
The Reds beat the Sunwolves 34-31 in Japan last week for their first win of season while the Brumbies beat the Waratahs 19-13 for their second win of season in five matches. The Brumbies are probably the better team but there is not much in it and the Reds with home advantage +4 at 10/11 are favoured to at least cover.
