Sky Bet are offering a great incentive for new customers to sign up, by offering a £10 free bet, plus a further £5 free bet every week until the end of the 2012/13 football season. Alongside some other loyalty promotions, and the ever popular Super 6 competition, Sky Bet are looking to expand their customer base rapidly.
Sky Bet Free bets promotion.
The sign up bonus on offer is very simple. New account holders will get a £10 free bet as soon as the account is opened. Once in operation, every week in which the customer stakes £5 of their own money, another £5 free bet will be credited to the account. For the purposes of the promotion, a ‘week’ runs from 00:00:00 on a Tuesday, to 23:59:59 on a Monday night. Free bets are then credited on the Tuesday (but must be used within 7 days).
Free Bet ‘Small print’
As ever, there are certain criteria that must be fulfilled to get the offer, and also some rules that need to be adhered to in order to continue with the promotion all the way to May. Firstly, new account holders must use a mobile device and/or the internet to open an account – telephone and TV registration will mean players are not eligible for the offer. Use the link here to be sure.
Another clause to be aware of, is that one missed week i.e. no betting activity (and therefore missed free bet) will result in no further free bets at all. This could obviously mean missing out on a lot of free bets, so is well worth being aware of. Likewise, if new account holders use Sky Vegas, Sky Poker or Sky Bingo before striking their first bet at Sky Bet, they will no longer be eligible for the weekly free bets. One last issue, if the initial £10 bet is successful, the account holder must be sure to deposit further funds into the account. A stake used from ‘free bet’ winnings will not count as “own funds” and will therefore not trigger the £5 weekly free bet.
The remaining terms and conditions are fairly standard; with the free bets, the stake is not returned on any winnings. The end of the season (or last week of the offer) is currently 25th May 2013, with the caveat that Sky bet could amend this date. The last condition is a little steep however – free bets must be used on selections with odds of even money or greater. Minimum prices for free bets are not unusual, but evens is a much higher minimum than is generally the case.
Despite those clauses, this is a very lucrative offer, and could result in a total of nearly £80 in free bets. Coupled with Sky Bet’s other incentives, which also include a loyalty scheme that could result in a further £20 free bet each month, it should be an attractive proposition for new customers.
