Primera Division resumes and perhaps the most exciting game of the first round is the clash between Sevilla and Atletico Madrid. The visitors try to prove that they are still a force to be reckoned with after their top scorer Radamel Falcao was transferred to Monaco during the season break.
Bet: Sevilla Draw no Bet
Odds: Pinnacle Sports 2.06
Radamel Falcao was the main reason for why Atletico Madrid finished among the best Spanish teams in the last few seasons and he propelled them towards their first Europa League title. Now that he is no longer with the club, the visitors will need to rely on Diego Costa, Leo Baptistao and the newly acquired David Villa. At least in theory, these three strikers should successfully fill the gap left by the departure of the prolific Colombian player, but critics argue that Falcao is simply impossible to replace.
For Sevilla this is great news, because recently Atletico Madrid caused them plenty of headaches and defeated them three times in the last two years. Overall they still have an edge over their opponents and lost nine games at home while losing just two, numbers that sounds encouraging ahead of this fixture. Sevilla is in superb form and won five consecutive games scoring 19 goals, including two impressive victories over Manchester United at Old Trafford and Barcelona at Nou Camp. They have strengthened their offensive with two young strikers and have high expectations for the upcoming season.
Sevilla has the first chance to prevail in the opening game of the season and the odds are terrific for a 0:0 Asian handicap wager. Pinnacle Sports pays 2.06 on this bet and the stakes are returned if the game and in a draw.
