San Antonio needs just one more victory to win a new title but if they are to lift the prestigious trophy, they must prevail in Miami. The Heat return home on the back of a frustrating defeat and have no room for mistakes, as the score is 3-2 for the Spurs in the best-of-seven series.

Miami lost the first quarter in all but one game this series and they had to fight an uphill battle just to level the score and make a push in the final quarter. The same happened in the third game played in Texas when the Spurs took an early lead and at one point had an advantage of 18 points. Although the visitors rebounded and came within striking distance immediately after the break, they couldn’t contain Manu Ginobili. After a rather disappointing performance in game four, the Argentinian played one of his best matches this season and proved more than a match for the Heat’s defenses.
Now that they return home, Miami will need Lebron James and Dwayne Wade to shoot with pinpoint accuracy but also support the defensive. Mike Miller, Noris Cole and Udonis Haslem need to rise to the challenge and start scoring some points of their own, after a terrible performance in a match four. If San Antonio is to win the series, the best chance they’ve got is to finish Miami off in game six because if the series is pushed into a decisive match, the Heat will be once again favorites to prevail.
San Antonio has two chances to secure victory in the final series of the NBA’s playoffs and the timing is right to make a move. Punters could either back the Spurs to lift the trophy at odds of 2.15 or take it one game at the time and back the Spurs not to lose by more than 7.5 points in game six with Winner Sports.
