As we head towards Christmas, the coming weekend sees big local derbies
Arsenal v Tottenham
Tottenham go into the North London derby with five wins in their last six league games and an excellent 3-1 win over Chelsea in which they pressed effectively and dominated midfield. Arsenal are u beaten in their last five league games too and settling into a pressing style under Emery too and a close game is in prospect.
Bookmakers have the draw as the 3/1 outsider of the three options in the 1-2-X market with BetVictor which has to be the value price.
Huddersfield v Brighton
Bottom of the table Huddersfield have won one league game out of 12 and scored six goals in those games, speaking to their big problem in the second season in the top flight. Brighton have developed into a solid premier league side with ten points in their last six league games and 12th place in the league. Compared to last year the solid defence marshalled by Duffy and Dunk and the goal threat of Murray has been complemented by more pace on the wings giving them more of a threat on the counter in away games.
Brighton here are priced at 23/10 with BetVictor which is a very interesting price.
Newcastle v West Ham
Newcastle’s form has begun to pick up with two league wins in a row to climb out of the bottom three and this has to be a chance to continue their mini run against a West Ham side with one league win in six games and which blows hot and cold. BetVictor have Newcastle at 8/5 here, a price which should be backed.
