After the end of the January transfer window, the first weekenf of Premier League fixtures in February. Here are the best of the weekend’s betting opportunities

Brighton and Hove Abion v West Ham United

Brighton and West Ham both drew in midweek, Brighton at Southampton and West Ham at home to Palace. On 24 points and generally finding goals hard to come by, Brighton’s Premier League place is threatened by the improvements taking place elsewhere in the bottom half of the table under new managers but one thing Brighton continue to have going for them is a very parsimonious defence. West Ham have a spate of injuries/suspensions and only two away wins all season even despite their improvements in form and fitness under Moyes.

The best here appears to be to back the draw at 21/10 with BetVctor

WBA v Southampton

Results elsewhere in the bottom half in midweek mean that the home side go into this game bottom of the table, three points adrift of 19th despite some improved results latterly under Pardew. Southampton are 18th with only four league wins all season. Goals is a continued problem and this is a real relegation six pointer.

WBA can be backed at 13/8 with BetVictor to get a vital win here.

Bournemouth v Stoke

Bournemouth achieved one of the results of the season in winning at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night 3-0 to climb to 10th in the tableand 28 points. Stoke have secured 4 league points out of 6 under new boss Paul Lambert against Huddersfield and Watford both at home. Away from this season has been abject with only one win and three draws in 12 games. However Bournemouth look quite short at just over even money with a price heavily informed by recency bias. I prer the draw at 13/5 with BetVictor
