Chelsea are three points away from regaining the title, and host Crystal Palace this weekend whilst the relegation battle looks set to go to the wire, and games at that end of the table are the focus of thoughts this weekend.

Aston Villa to beat Everton 9/5 BetVictor

West Ham to beat Burnley at 5/4 BetVictor

Sunderland v Southampton

In the bottom three and with a tough run in, Sunderland need a result at home this weekend desperately but Southampton are difficult opponents with a very solid defensive unit and defensive midfielders making them very difficult to break down and Sunderland are yet to score more than one goal in a game under Dick Advocaat.

At the other end for Southampton, Graziano Pelle is back to form and he could be the difference between the two sides in what might be a low scoring game. Southampton are available at odds-against here, when demonstrably the superior side. Whilst Sunderland need a win, thats no guarantee that they will do so

Aston Villa v Everton

Two sides in much improved form. Sherwood has transformed the attacking intent of Villa and with service into Benteke his goal-scoring has improved enormously. Everton meanwhile have taken as many points (16) in their last six Premier League games as they did in the previous 19 matches.

Vila, despite their improvements are only a point above Leicester and two above the bottom three but have averaged over two goals a game in the last five. They will go for it here and unlike Snderland probably have the firepower to win. BetVictor have them 9/5 underodgs (Everton favourites at 7/4) and whilst that is understandable that gives us a backable price on the home team.

West Ham v Burnley

Two teams in poor form. West Ham have won just two of their last 17 Premier League games but those two victories in that run that has seen them drop out of the top half have been at Upton Park. Burnley are now bottom and the essential problem remains. They have failed to score in seven of their last eight Premier League matches and netted only one in the other game. If that does not improve they will go down

Although West Ham are themselves struggling to win this is an ideal opportunity to press again for the top half and I was surprised to see them odds-against here 5/4 at BetVictor. It could be a narrow win in a low scoring game, but i had them odds-on here
