Liverpool have begun the new season with six wins from six and in imperious form lead the table topoints ahead of Machester City
The best of this weekend’s Premier League opportunities:
Wolves v Southampton
Wolves, their latest result being a good draw at Old Trafford, have made a very solid return to the Premier League earning plaudits for their intention to always have a go.Of course compared to most sides coming up from the Championship they have, due to their Portuguese connections, technical ability to mix it with the better teams.
Southampton’s most recent loss was a 3-0 defeat at Anfield but it is not on such away fixtures that their season will be judged. Goal-scoring remains a problem with six goals in six games
Wolves here are priced at 20/23 with Bet Victor, it should be a home banker.
Cardiff v Burnley
Cardiff are winless after 6 games, scoring 3 goals and conceding 14 for a side that looks to have a really tough task to stay up. This isn’t a great time to be meeting Burnley, now out of the Europa league so fatigue is becoming less of an issue and this was shown in their 4-0 home win against Bournemouth last weekend with wide players Gudmondsson and Lennon to the fore
Burnley are a cracking price here with Bet Victor over 2/1 (85/40) to gt a winning run going.
Chelsea v Liverpool
The stand out game of the weekend between 3rd and 1st in the table. Chelsea are adjusting to life under Sarri and Hazard in form is key to their ability to challenge teams though there are suggestions that the side is a little more defensively vulnerable than previously. Assuming Van Dijk is fit, then Liverpool come to this game having conceded two goals all season with that defensive solidity allied to their impressive front four with which no team has coped so far this season.
Prices here are Chelsea 9/5 Liverpool 13/8 and the Draw 13/5. The draw at 13/5looks a solid bet with Bet Victor.
