The best of the weekend’s betting opportunities in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace v Stoke City
Just slowly, Crystal Palace are beginning to improve and have five points since the arrival of Roy Hodgson including a last gasp draw at home to West Ham and a slightly unlucky draw at home to Everton last weekend. This game represents a chance to catch up towards the sides above them against a Stoke side where inconsistency is the watch-word.
Stoke tookthe lead twice against Brighton away on Monday night and then held on for a draw. With Shaqiri and Choupu-Moting they have creativity but aren’t the rock solid prospect they were a couple of years ago
Crystal Palace are 6/5 to win here, and we are still at the stage where backing them in any game feels counter-intuitive, hence the price contains some headroom.
Liverpool v Chelsea
In their recent run of games with three wins and two draws in their last six games Liverpool have been much more solid defensively, conceding only six goals and with Salah in fantastic goal-scoring form they have maintained their place just outside the top 4.
At the same time Chelsea have won four of their last six only conceding five goalsand with Hazard and Kante back are a more consistent threatening proposition than at times earlier in the season. With Kante dprotecting a back three again i do like the look of Chelsea at 5/2 to get an away win here.
Swansea City v Bournemouth
Swansea manager Paul Clement must be under real pressure after a run of games that has seen them fall to 19th in the table, only one win and four goals socred in their last six games. At the same time ournemouth, who started the season poorly have come into some form particularly in front of gal and have begun to climb the table
Bournemouth look a big price at 15/8 to get another win here
