Arsenal v Manchester United

Arsenal have won just four Premier League matches this season and those have come against teams currently in the bottom seven of the table despite the form of Alexis Sanchez who has scored 12 goals in his last 14 matches for Arsenal in all competitions. Arsenal lack strngth in depth at defensive midfield and at centre back that has left them exposed. Evidence of this is that Arsenal have dropped more points than any other team from winning positions (nine) in this season’s Premier League.

Of course Manchester United are rebuilding, mixing between playing styles, integrating a lot of new players and with many injury concerns themselves

All these uncertainties make predicting this match tricky, but i will give Arsenal another chance here, hoping that the burgeoning Sanchez/Wellbeck combination will fire again against an unsettled opponent, defensively

Arsenal are 6/5 generally to win here, including with William Hill

Leicester City v Sunderland

After a bright start, Leicester’s form has completely tailed off. They have won none of their last six Premier League matches (W0 D1 L5), failing to score in five of those games and, playing with four central midfielders and no width, have created very few chances. I should know, I’ve watched at the games

All this makes Sunderland a very big price at 27/10 BetVictor to win here. Not that Sunderland are that convincing a team with a recent 8-0 defeat in the books, but i do like them to win here if they take the lead, as Leicester lack the quality in recent team selections to break teams down. Sunderland also have recent 3-1 wins against Crystal Palace and Stoke to give them confidence that they can go to a team lacking form and get a result

Aston Villa v Southampton

Time to be contrarian. Southampton, the away team, are 4/5 to win here and of course second in the league are in fantastic form.

Aston Villa have failed to score in six of their last seven Barclays Premier League matches and netted just once in the other game in that run.

The result of this is that the home team are available at over 4/1 (BetVictor 17/4) for this game. At some stage we have to expect some mean reversion, with Southampton losing some form and Villa picking up some. For Villa, that may coincide with Benteke reaching full fitness.

On value grounds alone, 17/4 on the home team here is worthy of a small interest
