Manchester City lead the way, in brilliant form with 28 goals in their 8 games. Here are the best of the weekend’sbetting opportunities in the Premier League
Everton v Arsenal
Ronald Koeman must be under pressure at Everton after substantial summer spending and a start that has seen two wins in eight gaes and only five goals scored. A major problem is a lack of pace in attack and whuilst the team is solid enough at the back (Pickford and Keane look excellent young signings for both now and the long term)
Arsenal repeated long held failings losing at Watford, and afterwards were said to lack “cojones” by Troy Deeney. This is an opportunity to get back on track though against opponents in poor form. Arsenal are available at even money with BetVictor here
Swansea v Leicester City
Swansea won against huddersfield with a brace from Tammy Abraham to climb up to 13th in the congested bottom half of the table and have an opportunity to put back to back results together against a Leicester
side in the bottom three and who sacked Craig Shakespeare after Monday’s home draw against West Brom
Leicester are having problems adapting their style with issues in central midfield without Drinkwater’s range of passing and following the problem’s with Silva’s transfer and are vulnerable yet are installed as favourites for this match.
Swansea are the bet at 7/4 generally.
Tottenham v Liverpool
Both teams had fine results in the Champions league in midweek and Tottenham finally broke their hoodoo at Wembley against Bournemouth last weekend. Liverpool are potent going forward even without Mane and will be a test for a Spurs side who were tactically excellent in the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.
I am still not convinced though that the wide dimensions of the Wembley pitch suits Tottenham,a side that plays narrow with the full backs providing the width and it is this I put down their poor form at their temprary home too
Liverpool are a big looking 5/2 with BetVictor to win the game
