Manchester City v Arsenal

Sunday’s big game is inportant for both sides. Manchester City are chasing Chelsea, Arsenal chasing the top four. With Aguero likely back and starting, its not surprising to see Manchester City 4/5 at home for the game. Looking for a bit more value in a game  would expect City to win, the last seven Barclays Premier League games between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium have seen 28 goals scored.

This time round the Arsenal back four once again has issues with inconsistency and City have goals throughout their team. Arsenal have the excellent Alexis Sanchez with 12 goals and seven assists this season, amongst a number of attacking options. Goals are certainly expected, over 2.5 goals is as short as 8/15 in places.  I think it is worth looking at over 3.5 goals, available at 13/8 with William Hill in what should be an exciting game

Burnley v Crystal Palace

Although both teams are in the bottom six both will be optimisitic of avoiding relegation. Burnley are defying expectations in already having 20 points their strength being defensive organisation allied to the creativity and chances created by Danny Ings up front

For Palace, the appointment of Pardew has produced an undeniable fillip, and he is likely to make them very difficult to beat in away games, following the Pulis blueprint from last year.

This should be a close low-scoring game. Palace have drawn five of their last eight league aweay matches, Burnley have drawn three of their last four games. 23/10 (BetVictor) on a draw here seems reasonable

Leicester City v Stoke City

After a run of 13 games without a win, Leicester now have seven points out of 9 since Christmas are in touching distance of being out of the bottom three. ‘d be careful, as someone who has seen these games, of extrapolating too much from this recent mini-run though. They beat an abject Hull City and an even worse Aston Villa either side of a good point at Anfield.

Stoke are maddeningly inconsistent, and perhaps not a reliable proposition for bettors but the consequence of Leicester’s recent from has meant that they can be backed at 2-1 for this game which i think is attractive on value grounds at least. Stoke have enjoyed a decent run, with three wins in four in all competitions, but then suffered a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal last time out. I will back them to bounce back here
