The premier league schedule is spread out over 5 days this week with FA Cup commitments and with five games to go there is now a four point gap at the top of the table

Swansea City v Stoke City

An interesting match as Swansea’s form has really dipped after Paul Clements’ honeymoon period and they find themselves in the bottom 3, two points adrift of safety and in desperate need of a win

Stoke have rebounded froma poor run with a victory at home last weekend against Hull that coincided with the return from injury of Shaqiri who gives the team and flair and spark that it lacks without him.

Swansea lookperfectlyshort enough in the betting markets here at around 5/4. I am usually sceptical about the notion that a team that “must win” playing a team that has “nothing to play for”. The team that has to win, here for example,is in the bottom three for a reason after all.

Stoke are available here at 12/5 with Bet365 and i will be supporting them

West Ham Utd v Everton

West Ham return back to the Olympic stadiumw here they have found consistency and results hard to come by. With 37 points they might already be safe but it has been a concerning season and the visit of Everton, fighting for a spot in the top 6 and with a slew of young players developing fast, allied to the current top goalscorer in the division isn’t going to be an easy prospect for the hosts in an atosphere they have struggled to adapt to

Bet Victor have Everton odds against,5/4 to win here which seems perfectly reasonable

Liverpool v Crystal Palace

Time for a contrarian play. Liverpool look well set for the top 4 and a Champions League position but Palace are the type of team they can strigglewith, teams that sit in and disrupt and with Zaha and Twnsend Palace have the ability to hit on the breaka nd take the chances that come thier way

Of course Liverpool are favourites but Allardyce’s team in much improved form are quite capableof doing a job on their illustrious hosts and are 13/2 with BetVictor to do so. On value grounds i will be backing them
