The best of the weekend’s betting opportunities in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace v Southampton

Southampton have one point from their first three matches and have scored two goals, continuing their trend from last season where goals were hard to come by. They look genuine relegation candidates to me even at this early stage of the season and a trip to Palace is a tough prospect. A solid side under Hodgson the new contract for Zaha was great news as he provides the flair they need to turn draws into wins

Palace are available at just over even money with BetVictor here

West Ham v Wolves

West Ham are pointless after three games and are facing the task of adjusting their playing style under Pellegrini in a tough division where the games keep coming. Wolves under Nuno are yet to win this season but have two creditable draws at home to Everton and Manchester City and were unlucky to not lead after the first half an hour at Leicester. The 2/1 available with BetVictor on the away win in these circumstances looks a very interesting price.

Arsenal v Cardiff

Arsenal beat West Ham 3-1 to get their first points of the season, a transitional time under Emery perhaps not yet with the right personnel to play his high line and pressing style. Cardiff look a very limited side at this level and haven’t scored in the first three games, although a solid defence has enabled them to record two 0-0 draws. This is their toughest task yet and the 5/4 available on the handicaps with Bet365 about Arsenal -1 should be taken
