With nine consecutive victories, Kansas City is the hottest team in Major League Baseball, and the Royals now try to carry that momentum on the road. They travel to New York to meet the Mets, the team with the worst home record in the National League.
Match: NY Mets vs Kansas City
Bet: Kansas City

Kansas City swept three consecutive teams and the most impressive thing is that all those victories were earned away from home. Traditionally regarded as a team that is not particularly strong on the road, the Royals took everybody by surprise and climbed to 27 victories away from home. Wade Davies is a starting pitcher who prefers to compete in front of his fans, but his recent outing gives him plenty of reasons to be confident ahead of this fixture. He denied the White Sox a chance to score and won the pitchers’ duel with Chris Sale, en route to a 1-0 victory.
The New York Mets lost consecutive games to Miami and hope that Dillon Gee can stay invincible for one more game. He hasn’t lost in six starts and conceded an average of six runs per match, but he will not have an easy task in containing the red-hot Royals. Kansas City scored seven runs in two of the last four games and they will put Dillon to the test, not to mention the relievers. One of the reasons for why the Mets are standing on the second to last place in their division is that the bullpen can’t defend a lead.
There is no reason for why Kansas City should be the underdog tonight, yet Winner Sports and other bookmakers are pricing them at even odds. This is the best incentive for punters to bet on a continuation of the trend and act before the odds eventually drop.
