The FA Cup reaches the 5th Round this weekend and high flying Norwich City will look to book their place in the Quarter finals when they entertain Leicester City on Saturday. Can the Championship side get one over on the Premier League’s surprise package?

Advice

Over 2.5 goals (1.89 @ Betfair)

Norwich are enjoying a terrific season back in the top flight, and their solid League form has allowed Paul Lambert to send out strong teams in the FA Cup this term. The Canaries are odds-on favourites to progress at home, but value can be found in the Over 2.5 goals market in this last-16 clash with Leicester.

Norwich have been in the goals throughout their campaign. While Grant Holt is scoring them at one end, John Ruddy is letting them in at the other. Clean sheets are a rarity, even at Carrow Road, but goal scoring has not been a problem, with 19 rattled in, in 12 games. The Canaries home league fixtures average 2.83 goals – away from home, the number rises above 3. Leicester certainly have enough firepower to trouble Norwich (18 goals in 15 road trips in the Championship) and they themselves are generally involved in matches with a healthy number of goals.

Previous to Norwich dumping out West Brom at the Hawthorns, they entertained Championship side Barnsley at home, a team with a very similar profile to Leicester. That game ended 4-1 in favour of the hosts and the 1.89 about Over 2.5 looks too big given the chances of a similar scoreline here.

Verdict

Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 merit investigation, but the latter gets the nod, with an attractive 1.89 available at Betfair. Norwich are full of confidence, particularly in front of goal – but clean sheets are still rare. Leicester have performed below expectations this season, but have enough about them to trouble the hosts and goals look likely.
