The start of the Play-Offs
This year’s wild-card round features an exciting crop of young quarterbacks going up against established pros. Rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson turned the Ravens’ fortunes around with his running ability and command of the option game. Chicago’s Mitch Trubitsky and Deshaun Watson are getting their first cracks at the playoffs as well in their sophomore seasons. Third-year pro Dak Prescott will be playing in his second career postseason game.
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (9.35pm GMT)
An AFC South match up as the Colts beat the Titans in week 17 to secure the sixth seed and a trip to Houston. The Colts have a decent chance here with Andrew Luck and the offense well rounded and the defense much improved and looking to take advantage of the Texans great weakness, their offensive line.
The Texans quarterback DeShaun Watson has though overcome this difficulty notably in his connection with number one reciever Hopkins.
Should be a close one score game, I will take the Colts for the upset +2.5 points at 10/11 with SkyBet
Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys (1.15am GMT)
After a 3-5 start the Cowboys won 7 of their last 8 games to secure the NFC East and host a play off game against the five seed Seahawks. The Seahawks match up well against the Cowboys, with a stout running defense and the number one rushing offense. The Cowboys are the number four ranked NFL defense and to win are going to need to improve on red zone offense. I like the Seahawks for the marginal upset here in part due to the brilliance of quarterback Russell Wilson. The Seahawks +2.5 points at 10/11 with Sktybet
LA Chargers at Baltimore Ravens (6.05pm GMT)
The Ravens, with the top defense in the NFL held on to win the AFC North with an offense that completely changed style in mid season when running quarterback Lamar Jackson took over at quarterback. They host the strong Chargers side under Phillip Rivers who ran the Chiefs close in the AFC West. No defense has yet figuredout how to stop the Ravens rushing option game and I like the Ravens to make a deep run in the play offs, backable here at -2.5 points at 10/11 with SkyBet
Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears (9.40pm GMT)
The Eagles face a quarterback question going into this tough match up in Chicago against the number three seeds, with Foles knocked out of the week 17 game. Here the Eagles offense has to overcome the Bears vaunted tough defense on the road and its a challenge they are likely to find very tough. I like Chicago to cover -5.5 points at 10/11 with SkyBet
