Into week 6, and no team remains unbeaten. Tis week is highlighted by a number of divisional rivalry games

Recommendations

Houston Texans +3 points at 5/6 William Hill versus Indianapolis Colts

Chicago Bears +3.5 points at 10/11 SkyBet at Atlanta Falcons

New York Giants +3 points at 5/6 William Hill at Philadelphia Eagles

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans

The Thursday night game this week sees a divisional match-up in the AFC South, where the Indianapolis Colts visit the Texans, and both have identical 3-2 records. The Colts are offensively potent, led by Andrew Luck with many receiving options and this is an interesting clash of styles as the Texans, recovering from the wrost record in the league last year are built around defense (including the best defensive player in the league JJ Watt) and the running game

The Colts have scored 156 points in five games (Texans 104) and the Texans have only conceded 87 points in five games (Colts 108)

Thursday night games are tough for the visiting game, travelling and preparing on a short week and therefore it is interesting to see the Texans, who are extremely tough to beat, as 3 point home underdogs here at 5/6 with William Hill

Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons

The Bears rather threw away a victory at Carolina this past weekend but should match up well against Atlanta in what should be a high scoring game. The Bears vertical offense with Cutler throwing to Marshall/Jeffrey/Bennett and Forte is a mis-match against a slow Atlanta defense. At home in the dome, Atlanta’s offense is far more effective than on the road but the severe injuries to four of their offensive line are a disruption

The Chicago Bears are a 3.5 point underdog here at 10/11 with SkyBet

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

The Monday night game in Philadelphia is a big NFC East divisional match-up. The Eagles are 4-1 in unconventional fashion. In the last three games the defense and special teams has scored six of the team’s ten touchdowns while the offense continues to struggle to mesh, not helped by offensive line injuries

The Giants meanwhile have recovered from a poor start to the season winning their last three games in a row, with an offense beginning to click. At some stage the excellent points scoring from the defense/special teams of Philadelphia is going to regress towards the norm.

As a result this could be a game to oppose the divisional favourite, and back the Giants +3 points at 5/6 with William Hill
