A draatic opening weekend saw the defending superbowlchampions beaten, a star running back out for most of the season and alot of dysfunctional offenses strugglnig to hit the season running

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos

Twoimpressive sides in week 1.The Cowboys did just enough on offense but the huge surprise was their defense which stifled the Giants. We know the Broncos have a very stout defense but it appears that quarterback Trevor Siemian has made steps forward in the off season and if he can continue that the roncos have the look of a play off team again.

Te Broncos play at altitude, a tough prospect for visiting teams early in the season late in games and yet we find the Broncos +1.5 at 10/11 on the points handicap, which i think takes bullishness on the Cowboys too far. The Broncos aren’t easy to run or pass onand the Cowboys defense will be full on to last sixty minutes here in the form they were in last Sunday night.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars

An AFC South divisional fgame agtain for the Jaguars who throttled the Texans in uston in week one with a dominating defensive performance. The Jaguars have been and for so long that they have collected a lot of high draftpick defensive talent and it showed. Whilst offensively they have challenges in the passing game, Blake Bortles is inconsistent at best and Allen Robinson is now on injured reserve, the running game with Fournette looked to be a crutch upon which the offense can lean, and rely on the defense to keep them in games

The Titans lost at home to the Raiders in week 1, and their offense should come to the party soon enough under Marcus Mariota. Whether they are deserving of being away favourites at a divisional rival i am not sure about at this stage and will be backing the Jaguars +2.5 at Evens

Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons

This is a repeat of last year’s NFC Championship game won in a high scoring encounter by the then prolific Falcons against injury riddled rivals. Atlanta have lost their important offensive co-ordinator and struggled to win in Chicago in week 1. The Packers meanwhile looked sensational in a dour defensive struggle beating the Seahawks at Lambeau field

Despite the low scoring game Aaron Rodgers looked in mid season form and will be a major challenge for Atlanta here. I like the Packers +2.5 at 10/11 here, with a good chance to overturn last year’s play-off result
