AFC North: Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers

Both teams are in the play-offs and the winner of this game wins the division and is guaranteed a home game in the first round of the play-offs. Three weeks ago the Steelers went to Cincinnati and won 42-21 with their three star offensive players, Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell and Anotonio rown to the fore

The Bengals had a great win on Monday night at home to Denver that secured the play off place.Their run to the play offs has been built on the form of rookie running back Jeremy Hill who is the workhorse off whom the rest of the offense thrives.

The Bengals are underdogs to win in Pittsburgh though. Team who play Week 16 on Monday night football & play next Sunday in the final week of the season on the road as a points-underdog of greater than 1 point have 0 wins 9 losses and are 1-8 Against the Spread

I think the Steelers firepower wins out here, and they are bet -3 points at 10/11 Labrokes

NFC North Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers

The winner of this game wins the division, gets the number 2 play off seed in the NFC and a home bye in the play offs. A huge game and especially important for the Packers who have a big home advantage, unbeaten at home this season and, attesting to that the Lions have not won at Lambeau field for over 20 years!

The Lions are over a touchdown (+7.5 points) underdogs to win the game and therefore the division
The Lions and Packers facing off for a division title in Week 17 is probably about what we expected coming into the season. Beyond that? The Lions haven’t been at all what we thought they’d be.

The formerly high-powered Lions offense has been largely tamed in 2014, they’ve been held to 18th in the NFL in total offense. Former 5,000-yard passer and No. 1 overall pick Matthew Stafford is 20th in the NFL in passer rating, and the running game is 27th in yardage. Meanwhile, the formerly erratic defense has risen to No. 2 in the league, changing the entire dynamic of this team.

The defense faces a major task up against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense on the road, but their success in this game will come down to firing on offense, something they have failed to do for much of the season.

The passing game has been limited by the injuries to Calvin Johnson. Though Johnson has missed only four games, he’s been limited in others. A fully operational Megatron is the key to the entire Detroit offense. He draws double- and triple-teams that both leave other receivers open and limit how many men the opposing defense can blitz. He changes defensive game plans entirely by himself, and without him the Lions have lost most of their big-play ability.

Putting the Lions strong defense together with a misfiring offense suggests to me that, with the Packers unbackable -7.5 (i think they win but i’m not giving Detroit an 8 point start) we should be looking at unders on total points, Under 47.5 points 10/11 Ladbrokes

NFC South Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

The worst division in football in 2014, two losing teams meet. The winners make the play offs as number 4 NFC Seed and host a play off game, the losers are out so much at stake

This is a matchup between two talented but flawed, closely ranked teams. Atlanta have an explosive offense with Matt Ryan and the brilliant wide receiver Julio Jones. The team has overcome a multitude of injuries to its offensive line to still have a chance of winning the division after upsetting the Saints in week 16

Atlanta games tend to be high-scoring. Their main weakness is a defenses that is slow and lacks play-makers particularly in pass-rush

Carolina won the division last year and have overcome losing the left side of the offensive line and the entire wide receiver strength off last season’s team.

Between the emergence of rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, the maturation of quarterback Cam Newton and the steadily huge production of middle linebacker Luke Kuechly, the Panthers could hold onto their crown even without the services of defensive end Greg Hardy.

They too have struggled on defense. Though they boasted the NFL’s No. 2 scoring defense in 2013, without Hardy the unit’s ranked among the bottom-third  of all NFL teams

It’s a tough game to predict. Atlanta are four point favourites at home but what i would expect is points as both sides go for the jugular, know they can’t rely on their defenses and try to put up points quickly. Over 47.5 points 10/11 Ladbrokes
