Well into the second half of the regular season now, and three unbeaten teams remain. Two of those teams are away this week

Recommendations (all prices Bet365)

Carolina Panthers -4.5 at Tennessee Titans 10/11

Jacksonville Jaguars +5.5 at Baltimore Ravens 10/11

Arizona Cardinals +3 at Seattle Seahawks 10/11

Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans

The 8-0 Panthers kept their unbeaten record beating the Packers last weekend with a trademark performance featuring excellent defense, a solid running game and the brilliance of quarterback Cam Newton. Te last unbeaten team in the NFC Conference, a couple of weeks ago this would have been seen as a routine game against the Titans.

Ten days ago the Titans sacked their head coach and last weekend were one of the surprise winners of week 9 with a thrilling victory at the Saints, with their rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota throwing four touchdown passes. The Titans have been acquiring talent, but this hasn’t been shown in their results yet for a team hamstrung by poor schemes and systems. A coaching change might accelerate their recovery but it is a big task here against one of the most solid rosters in the NFL

For this game the Panthers are 4.5 point favourites to cover in Nashville and this is something i expect them to do

Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens

The Jaguars with a 2-6 reocrd were competitive for the majority of their 28-23 loss in New York last weekend but were beaten because they committed four turnovers. The Jaguars are a team that has the ability to score a lot of points particularly with wide receiver tandem Robinson and Hurns a real threat. Jacksonville still lack some talent on defense but they are well on the way to having a competitive NFL roster which is not something that could have been said last year

The Ravens also have a 2-6 record and have been one of the big disappointments of the NFL season. Hurt by defensive injuries early in the season this has now spread to the offense with key receiver Steve Smith out for the season. I struggle to see why they are nearly six point favourites at home to any NFL side with their current form. Jacksonville +5.5 for me is a strong bet

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks

A big game in the NFC West with the 4-4 Seahawks hosting the 6-2 Cardinals, both teams coming off byes. Seattle have had a very mixed season, defensive problems early on and offensive line problems affecting a running game that is crucial to the offense which relies on Lynch in the absence of big play receivers

The Cardinals have an explosive offense, with Carson Palmer who has thrown for 20 touchdowns so far this season, three top receivers and the rejuvenation for running back Chris Johnson who often has open lanes to run as the defense needs to respect Palmer’s arm. The Cardinals have put up 32.9 points per game and a plus 110 point differential, second in the NFL in both categories to the undefeated New England Patriots

The game is priced up as a “pick em” when we allow for home advantage, the Cardinals are 3 point underdogs. I expect the Cardinals to at least cover
