The Divisional round of the NFL play offs takes place this weekend as the four winners of the wild card games travel to the top seeds in each conference

Games are as follows: All prices with Skybet

Saturday 13th 9.35pm
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles

Atlanta went to the A Rams as underdogs and won with att Ryan back to form at quarterback and with a defensive plan that bottled up the Rams attacking options. Because the Eagles are missing their star quarterback Carson Wentz, and have struggled without him, the Falcons are now in the rare position of being a road favourite at a number one conference seed in the divisional round, -2.5 at 10/11.

It is tempting to back the home underdog here but the bet may be to go over the suggested points total of 41.5 here, again at 10/11

Sunday 14th 1.15am
Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots

Tennessee came back from a 21-3 half time deficit to beat the Chiefs 22-21 with Marcus Mariota and the offense casting off the shackles of a restrictive game plan when required and the Ciefs aiding them with some questionable play-calling. Understandably though the Titans are big underdogs at the defending Superbowl champions who are rested and a really difficult opponent at Foxboro

This is reflected in the Titans being available at +14 at 10/11 and while it is tempting to take them with a two touchdown start in what maybe a bad weather game, this is a game to watch rather than bet.

Sunday 14th 6.05pm
Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers

Earlier this season thee Jags went to Pittsburgh and won 30-9 with Roethlisberger throwing five turnovers. The Jags have had the best defense in the league this year, their passing defense is very special and this showed in their win against the Bills which was the Jags 9th game of the season holding the opponent to 0-10 points.

The Jags problem is on offense where in the wild card round quarterback Bortles had 87 yard passing and 88 yards rushing. And averaged 3.8 yards per pass attempt, and 4.56 yards per rush. More will be needed when going to Pittsburgh and this explains why the Jags are +7.5 point underdogs in a game only forecast to have 41 points.

It is tough to take the Steelers with more than a touchdown being given away on the handicap against this defense, but can the offense really win this for the Jags?doubt it,a no bet game for me

Sunday 14th 9.25pm
New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings

Drew Brees, who turns 39 this month, passed for 376 yards and two touchdowns, and the New Orleans Saints held off Carolina’s late comeback bid to seal a 31-26 victory in their NFC wildcard game on Sunday. The Saints now visit the Vikings as 3.5 point underdogs in a forecast 44.5 point game

The Vikings are a solid team, with a strong defense and under-rated on offense after big improvements to their offensive line and the Saints with a very well balanced offense are going to be a challenge here

Rather than picking a side my expectation is that the game will go over the 44.5 point spread at 10/11
