Microgaming Progressive Jackpots

The Microgaming network is known for having the largest progressive jackpot payouts in the online casino industry. This is an obvious positive for online slot machine players, but the knock-on effect is that more players are drawn to the network because of the huge potential jackpot payouts, which in turn increases the size of the jackpots!

At present there are 17 progressive jackpot games on the Microgaming network (plus variations), though one are two are not actually slots based. The jackpot pays out once every 77 or so days and average payouts are not far off $5 million, which goes a long way to explaining the popularity of Mega Moolah and the Microgaming network.

Major Millions was around before Mega Moolah, but the game remains as popular as ever and there are now three variations of the game, including the original three reel slot machine. The jackpot is set at a minimum of $250,000 and the game had a reputation for creating millionaires long before the arrival of more modern slot machine games.

In November 2006, one lucky Major Millions player achieved the holy grail of online slot machines, by hitting the jackpot twice in one night, winning almost $700,000 in the process!

Treasure Nile is the internet’s first progressive jackpot slots game with a nine line payout and features an Ancient Egyptian theme. Reel symbols include pyramids, pharaohs and scarab beetles and the game has particularly nice graphics and sounds.

Launched way back in 2001, Treasure Nile was a groundbreaking slots game which often broke progressive jackpot records. In the game’s first month online, it paid out $100,000 three times, which was unheard of at the time. The game retains its popularity today and jackpots of $90,000 are the norm. Treasure Nile’s record jackpot was a little over half a million dollars.
