The women’s part of the draw has already lost most of its top seeds, but Agnieszka Radwanska, the world’s number four, is still very much in the hunt for the title.

So far, Radwanska hasn’t really had to do a great deal on the courts, but things are going to get much worse her on Saturday, as she will be up against the world’s number fifty-two, Madison Keys. The rankings suggest that there is a great deal between the two, but a closer look at the match-up actually reveals that the Pole might be in for a very tough contest in the third round.

Madison Keys still lacks some consistency and her tendency to miss easy shots from time to time is indeed her main weakness, but she has all the right shots for the grass courts and she has been playing excellent tennis so far, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see her come out swinging right from the start of the match.

It is hard to see the American winning against such a big name on such a big stage, but she certainly has what it takes to test Radwanska with her powerful shots and backing her in one form or another could therefore be the right idea here. She should have the upper hand throughout some parts of the match and that should allow her to be competitive enough to cover the games handicap or force the match to go over the total games line, which has been set at just 19.5 games by most bookmakers. This really should be a very intriguing encounter – and, with a little bit of luck, Keys might even be able to surprise everyone and find her way through to the next round.
