The world’s number one, Rafael Nadal, disappointed his fans by putting in a sub-optimal performance against Martin Klizan on Tuesday, so all eyes will be on the Spaniard on Thursday. He’ll have to play against yet another dangerous opponent in Lukas Rosol, who famously defeated him on this very stage back in 2012. We don’t exactly believe that the Czech will be able to repeat that famous victory, but chances are that he’s not going to go down in flames either.

After all, the French Open victory seems to have taken a lot of energy from the Spaniard, who hasn’t done anything notable on grass in the last couple of years. His serve is particularly vulnerable and we’ve already seen guys like Dustin Brown and Martin Klizan punishing it with some big returns, so Rosol should be able to do the same. He’ll need to play without any fear in order to succeed, but he’ll have the good memories to help him with that and he’s got nothing to lose in this match, so that shouldn’t be hard to do.

Martin Klizan, who’s certainly not a grass court specialist, was able to take a set off the world’s number one on Tuesday, so we can’t see why Lukas Rosol shouldn’t be able to do the same two days later. His game is made to take Nadal well out of his comfort zone and the conditions are going to be on his side as well, so we’re going to recommend a bet on there being four or more sets in this match. The Spaniard isn’t enjoying his time on grass – and Rosol can punish his weak serves with some powerful returns.
