Lower League Football Accumulator Betting Tips - Bristol CThis weekend sees the return the Football League and with that, the return of our lower league football accumulator betting tips! Our opening weekend acca consists of two Championship ties and a League One fixture and at the time of writing, a £20 punt with BetVictor would land us £160 – that’s healthy odds of 7/1 (8.00)! Read on for the full story…

Football Accumulator Betting Tips

1 – Millwall vs Yeovil Town
We might have tipped Yeovil to go up via the League One play-offs, but that’s where our support for them ends as I can’t see them surviving in the Championship. The transfer activity at Huish Park this summer has hardly been inspiring and this opening day trip to the Den was probably not the start that Glovers fans were hoping for. They’ll be relying on the feelgood factor after their achievements last season, but that can only take them so far.

Millwall could surprise a few this season and will easily improve on their 20th place finish last season. With astute additions to the squad such as Lee Martin and Scott McDonald, the Lions could even threaten the Play-Offs this season and they can get off to the best possible start on Saturday at generous looking best odds of 2.05 with Coral. For me, they’re an obvious starting point in this weekend’s lower league football accumulator.

2 – Reading vs Ipswich Town
Staying in the Championship, another obvious place to look for selections for our football accumulator bets this weekend is at the teams that were relegated from the Premier League and Reading look like perfect candidates. Roysten Drenthe and Wayne Bridge are excellent additions to a squad that already looked set for an immediate return to the top flight and the opening fixture against Ipswich doesn’t look too tough a task.

The Tractor Boys scored just 14 times in 23 league games away from home last season, which is horrendous. If they are to improve on their 14th place finish, that’s something that will have to change but can anyone really see that change beginning against Reading? The current best price of 2.00 with BetVictor looks positively huge and simply must be snapped up.

3 – Bristol City vs Bradford City
Sticking with the theme of relegated clubs, Bristol City could be bankers this opening weekend of the 2013/14 Football League season, at current best odds of 2.00 with BetVictor. Sean O’Driscoll is a good manager and he’s dealt well enough in the transfer market this summer. Promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking will be tough in what is a seriously competitive League One this season, but they will win far more matches than they lose.

Their opening fixture is against a Bradford City side that could only muster 6 wins on the road in League Two last season, but found themselves promoted via the Play-Offs. Bristol City away is a far trickier prospect than the likes of Exeter City (who thumped them 4-1) or AFC Wimbledon (who won 2-1) and I don’t really see how the Bantams will be able to cope on Saturday. Bristol City simply have to go into our weekend football accumulator bet.

Where To Place Your Accumulator

Our lower league football accumulator bet for the opening weekend of the 2013/14 season should definitely be placed with BetVictor as, at the time of writing, they are offering the best odds of 8.00 (7/1) about our recommended treble bet. Twenty quid with Victor will land a handsome £160.00 in returns.
