LeoVegas has already established a dominant position among online casinos, but now is focuses on conquering a new segment. The mobile market is growing at an accelerated pace and LeoVegas will team up with the Sun and the Mirror to become a leading mobile player in the UK by the end of 2014.
They have high expectations and the competition in this line of work is fierce, but the Swedish company has both the resources and the will to prevail. The investment is significant and LeoVegas will be pouring millions into aggressive marketing campaigns, in order to win the UK players over. The mobile gaming market offers multiple upsides in the United Kingdom and there are many operators who try to secure a big slice of it, but LeoVegas appears to have an edge.
The partnership with the Sun and the Mirror will start producing results in the first quarter of 2014 and the results of the marketing campaign will be augmented by other media activities. In a recent interview, CEO Johan Styren confirmed LeoVegas’ intention to take the UK market by storm this year, while acknowledging the intense competition.
He is confident in his company’s ability to replicate its success in the Nordic markets and he expects that by the end of the year, LeoVegas will be the driving force in the United Kingdom. The best proof that they are willing to do everything it takes to succeed is that the online casino has assembled a competitive team.
Joshua Morris, the ex-Virgin Games commercial director and Shenaly Amin who used to be the head of affiliates for Game Account have been recruited while mobile marketing agency Somo will manage the ambitious campaign. 2013 has been a stellar year for LeoVegas and they hope to build on this momentum while conquering new frontiers in 2014 and beyond.
