It’s been two years since Kalmar last defeated Norrkoping, but with their opponents struggling to keep a clean sheet, this is the perfect time to break out of the funk. The two teams are trailing the leading pack by five respectively seven points and they need to rebound quickly if they are to get an Europa League berth.

With 16 points in 11 games, Kalmar is hardly Champions League material and even though there are plenty of rounds to be played, it is highly unlikely for them to overtake Helsingborg. The leaders have improved their defensive while adding a couple of promising strikers, something that Kalmar can’t brag about. One of their few strong points is home record and a fairly strong defense, which allowed just three goals in five games.
The hosts struggle up front and their young strikers have scored a combined four goals so far, but they don’t need an offensive outburst to defeat Norrkoping. For 10 consecutive rounds, the visitors conceded at least one goal and even when they emerged victorious they found it impossible to keep a clean sheet. Despite winning the last two games against Kalmar, the visitors won’t push for an away victory and will field a starting formation featuring just one striker. Khalili will probably replace Throvaldsson, after scoring four goals in seven games but he will be pretty much on his own in the offensive.
Kalmar won five of seven games played at home against Norrkoping and they will need to take the initiative early on if they are to add the sixth victory. The visitors have one of the weakest defenses in Allsvenskan and if they keep the ball into the opponents’ pitch long enough, it will eventually crack making it worth taking even odds offered by Ladbrokes.
