Sebastian Vettel overtook Lewis Hamilton on the first lap of the Belgian Grand Prix and won to reduce Hamilton’s lead in the drivers championship to 17 pounts heading to Ferrari’s home race this weekend

Monza is one of the fastest tracks on the F1 calendar with long straights interspersed by hard braking corners. Traditionally in the last few years this would ensure Mercedes dominance with the strongest power unit. Indeed under recent regulations Mercedes have won the last four runnings of the race

This season which is the best power unit between Mercedes and Ferrari is a far more open question, even in qualifying where Ferrari now have qualifying modes. The evidence of the summer upgrades is that Ferrari have moved ahead, and they are also more nimble in the very slow corners as showing in the Spa chicane.

As such it does look perfectly set up for a first Ferrari victory in Italy since 2009, Vettel should probably be odds on for this race when in face he is available at 54 at Bet 365, thus there is value on Vettel here
