The final stages of the 2019 IPL Group matches, and the play off line up will be determined by the end of the weekend.
Saturday 4th May
Delhi Capitals v Rajasthan Royals
Delhi lost their top of the table clash with CSK on Wednesday heavily but go into this their final game assured of a play-off spot currently in second place.
Rajasthan’s match against RCB was rained off on Tuesday when already reduced to a five overs a side match, and this point won keeps Rajasthan’s hopes of making the play-offs still mathematically alive.
Delhi are 8/13 to win here, a price that looks reasonable with Bet365. Rajasthan are 6/4
RCB v Sunrisers Hyderabad
RCB’s hopes of making the play-offs ended when their match against Rajasthan was rained off on Tuesday.
Sunrisers beat Kings XI Punjab on Monday, scoring 212 and defending the target comfortably to remain the top 4. They then failed to secure their spot in the play-offs when losing to Mumbai in a super over on Thursday. Going into this last game they are 4th in the table, so need a win to ensure they continue in the competition.
Sunrisers as even money underdogs, even without Bairstow and Warner, looks a really attractive price.
Sunday 5th May
Kings XI Punjab v CSK
Kings XI conceded 212 against Sunrisers on Monday and lost by 45 runs. The side have now lost 4 of their last five games and slipped to sixth in the league table as a play off place looks less likely as their form has tailed away. KingsXI play at home to KKR on Friday and then this game probably needing to win both games to back-door their way into the play-offs
CSK dominated their top of the table clash with Delhi on Wednesday to return to the top of the table and in prime position to secure top spot in the league table and a play off chance of winning the first game and going straight to the final
CSK at 10/11 appeals
Mumbai Indians v KKR
Mumbai beat Sunrisers in a Superover on Thursday to once again secure their play off spot thanks largely to Bumrah restricting Sunrisers to 8/2 in the extra over. Mumbai haven’t been at their best this season with injuries, poor individual form and inconsistent selection but are sit second in the table with 8 wins from 13 games and a win here would put them into the final eliminator
KKR go into Friday’s game at the Kings Xi on the back of four successive losses and probably needing to win both that game and this to make the play offs.
Mumbai at 8/11 is suggested as a bet here with Bet365 again
