Thursday evening’s live greyhound racing on the Racing Post website comes from Hove where they have 12 races, over a number of different distances, for us to get our teeth into. We have had a look at the card and produced some free greyhound betting tips with one dog in particular standing out at 10/3 with Paddy Power. Read on for details on why that is such a good bet and for other free greyhound tips.
Malbay Phanter is a regular around the Sussex track and looks set to start the 9:40pm race as an odds-on favourite from trap 5. However, at 5/6 we can easily oppose the dog and we look to take it on with the dog running from trap 6, Lenson Champ, who is available at a generous 10/3 with Paddy Power.
Lenson Champ has form around Hove, having won the Sussex Puppy Trophy fairly recently, and in three races at the track has trapped very well and made all in each race. He should trap better than Phanter out wide which will take away Phanter’s chances early doors and from there Champ will have the run of the race. The 475m distance won’t be far enough for Phanter to come back at him.
Champ is our best bet but there are other opportunities to padden our wallets and backing Droopys Harris in the 9:24pm race looks like one of those opportunities. Harris will be swiftly out the traps and lead on the inside whilst his time of 29:93s last month is good enough to see him make all.
A recent 695m trial shows he will be strong enough to fend off any dogs who come at him and Paddy Power’s 4/1 looks like a treat.
Elsewhere on the card, Larrikin is taken to trap best and to hold off Airlie Impact in the 10:11pm at 3/1 with Paddy Power, whilst, in the 8:18pm sprint, trap 6 Helenas Sailor can capitalise on any trouble on the rail from the market prinicipals to score in nice fashion. A fast trial last week around here boosts our hopes and at 5/1 with Paddy Power we must get involved.
