In amongst our free horse racing tips for Saturday March 30th is a big priced fancy – currently rated a 20/1 (21.00) chance with Ladbrokes – to land the re-arranged Lincoln Handicap, that was lost to the weather last weekend (pictured). 3.15 Haydock – Sydney Paget @ 6/1 (7.00) with Paddy Power
3.45 Carlisle – Rudemeister @ 7/2 (4.50) with Bet365
Longshot of the day:
3.05 Doncaster – Jack’s Revenge @ 20/1 (21.00) with Ladbrokes
The first of Saturday’s free horse racing tips is Educate in the 1.55 at Doncaster. The four year old should relish today’s underfoot conditions and although usually seen over further, the gelding has won on his only appearance over a mile, so I’m not too worried by that. He travels well and is suited to this type of contest, and I expect him to run a big race at a healthy looking 8/1 (9.00) with BetVictor.
Our second tip for Saturday March 30th is Donald McCain Jr’s six year old Sydney Paget, currently a 6/1 (7.00) shot with Paddy Power to land the 3.15 at Haydock. Dropped back to a trip over which the gelding has won twice and finished second twice from five starts, he can carry on his good run of form that reads 2121 on today’s softer ground that will suit him plenty. His mark is unchanged after hacking up last time out and so he would appear to be well handicapped.
Andrew Parker’s Rudemeister is a lightly raced seven year old and a consistent sort, who suggested last time out that he was ready to add to his lone career victory after finished second by just a neck at today’s track. He’s up 6lbs for that effort to a career high mark, though that is all taken back off by today’s 7lb claiming jockey (besides, the horse has twice finished second off a mark of just 3lbs lower, so it’s not asking too much off today’s rating). I would suggest that he is capable of improving further today and at the current best price of 7/2 (4.50) with Bet365, I’ll be backing him to do just that.
Our bigger priced Each-Way selection for Saturday March 30th is Jack’s Revenge in the 3.05 at Doncaster, the Lincoln Handicap. The current best price on offer is 20/1 (21.00) with Ladbrokes and that seems generous, as the five year old really rose through the handicap ranks last season, finishing with credit in the Cambridgeshire before running second in a decent race at this course (over slightly further). A reproduction of any of his final three runs of last season should see George Baker’s gelding somewhere on the premises and there’s nothing to suggest he won’t do that today, having run really well fresh before.
