Ikorodu Road Free Horse Racing TipsCheck out our free horse racing tips for Saturday March 2nd, one of which is Matt Sheppard’s Ikorodu Road (pictured) who runs at Doncaster in a race he won last season. The gelding looks well placed for a repeat bid and at generous odds of 10/1 (11.00) with Bet365, he represents an excellent bet. For more on this and all the rest of our racing tips, read on…

Recommended bets:
3.15 Newbury – Cry Of Freedom @ 7/1 (8.00) with BetVictor

4.00 Lingfield – Loyalty @ 3/1 (4.00) with Stan James

Longshot of the day:
2.55 Doncaster – Ikorodu Road @ 10/1 (11.00) with Bet365

Cry Of Freedom, a 7/1 (8.00) chance with BetVictor to land the 3.15 at Newbury, is the first of our horse racing tips for Saturday March 2nd. Those odds could be too big, given that the seven year old placed last time out despite being off the track for 310 days, a run that should put him spot on for today’s encounter. The gelding has some nice novice form, in particular a first and second on softer ground, and today looks like a nice opportunity to grab a first success in handicap company.

The 4.00 at Lingfield is the scene for the second of Saturday’s horse racing tips, where Derek Shaw’s Loyalty looks to have a strong chance. Turning out quickly under a penalty for winning at Kempton 12 days ago, the six year old has also enjoyed a couple of course and distance successes in his career, including one in January of this year (he also won at this track over further later in the month). The 7lb claimer who won aboard the gelding last time out remains in the saddle, which will help to negate the penalty, but he’s won off higher marks than this in the past, so it’s not really an issue. Today’s best odds of 3/1 (4.00) with Stan James simply have to be snapped up.

In the 2.55 at Doncaster, Ikorodu Road looks like a good value bet at current odds of 10/1 (11.00) with Bet365. The ten year old won this race last year – admittedly off 8lbs lower than today’s handicap mark, but the underfoot conditions will be to his liking and he’s only 4lbs higher than his last winning mark, so he’s not exactly badly handicapped. He’s not set the world alight yet this season, but he wasn’t disgraced last time out on unsuitable ground and the run before that (at this course) showed that the gelding is getting back to something like his best. I won’t be at all surprised to see him claim his first victory of the season here today, at juicy double figure odds.
