After Tuesday’s longshot recommendation Indian Violet scored at 25/1 (26.00), we’re keen to follow up with more winning horse racing tips on Wednesday February 27th. We’ve taken an early look at the day’s racing and one horse of particular interest is Jonathan Portman’s Tregereth at Kempton, currently priced at 9/1 (10.00) with Bet365. Read on to find out why, as well as discovering the rest of our free racing tips…
2.50 Bangor – Ma Toolan @ 9/2 (5.50) with Betfair
3.00 Wincanton – Father Probus @ 15/8 (2.88) with Paddy Power
Longshot of the day:
6.00 Kempton – Tregereth @ 9/1 (10.00) with Bet365
Ma Toolan is the first of Wednesday’s free horse racing tips, in the 2.50 at Bangor. A reproduction of the six year old mare’s last time out form should be enough to win this race (she finished second that day on today’s going and the winner of that race has since won). The only issue here is that she’s been off the track for 126 days, but I’m trusting that she’ll be fit for Wednesday’s race. No bookmakers have this race priced up at the time of writing, but you can grab a juicy looking 9/2-ish (5.50) on Betfair.
Father Probus runs in the 3.00 at Wincanton and is the second of our horse racing tips for Wednesday February 27th. This is just a four runner race, which explains the seemingly short overnight price of 15/8 (2.88) with Paddy Power, but for me, this is actually value. Now trained by Nick Williams, the seven year old gelding has come into a bit of form (a win and a place so far for the new yard) and although 9lbs higher than his last winning mark, the last time out third (off today’s mark) suggests that he’s going to be able to cope with that hike. This is a weak race with no real depth and our selection is easily the most consistent horse and should enjoy the ground. I’ll be surprised is he doesn’t go in.
Jonathan Portman’s three year old filly Tregereth could be too big a price at best odds of 9/1 (10.00) with Bet365 overnight, so she’s our bigger priced Each-Way tip for February 27th. She’s a consistent enough sort and made a promising start to her All Weather career last time out, with a third place finish at Lingfield, a reproduction of which would see her go close on Wednesday. You would have to suspect that the step up to six furlongs will not be a problem and I will be disappointed if the filly doesn’t run at least a place in what looks to be a race with no strength in depth.
