Two of our free horse racing tips for Sunday December 2nd come from Leicester, plus we bring you a juicy looking 8/1 (9.00) shot running in the 2.05 at Fairyhouse. Our strongest fancy of all on Sunday is Handtheprizeover (pictured, red silks and yellow cap) – currently priced at 11/2 (6.50) with Bet365. Read on for more details…
1.50 Leicester – Handtheprizeover @ 11/2 (6.50) with Bet365
2.05 Fairyhouse – Rising Time @ 8/1 (9.00) with Paddy Power
Longshot of the day:
3.30 Leicester – Bin End @ 14/1 (15.00) with William Hill
In February 2011, Handtheprizeover won at Leicester over 21f, off a mark of 98. Today, the seven year old runs over 24f at Leicester off a mark of 102. When last seen at a racecourse 398 days ago, the gelding won on his first attempt at 24f and although both of the aforementioned victories came on good ground, he’s won on soft ground in the past. Despite his lengthy absence, I really think he has an excellent chance in today’s race – the 1.50 at Leicester – as he’s won fresh in the past. I reckon he’s worth every penny at a current best price of 11/2 (6.50) with Bet365.
The second of Sunday’s free horse racing tips is Rising Time, who runs over in Ireland in the 2.05 at Fairyhouse. The current odds of 8/1 (9.00) with Paddy Power look enormous as the mare is clearly in good heart (two runner up finishes and a victory in her last three outings). The win at Listowel in September came on heavy ground, which is handy given today’s conditions and she’s down 8lbs for her last time out runner up effort, which seems generous. The favourite in this race has to be taken on given her start to life as a chaser and I think Rising Time is the value selection.
Our bigger priced Each-Way selection for Sunday December 2nd is Bin End in the 3.30 race at Leicester. The six year old is currently priced at 14/1 (15.00) with William Hill, which is too good to be true. A soft ground winner at Ludlow earlier this year (off the same mark as today) the gelding clearly enjoys the course too, having won once from two efforts over the jumps and once from one attempt on the flat earlier in his career. I’m also interested to see that Richard Johnson takes the ride, which can only be considered a positive.
