Today is Saturday April 6th – the day of the 2013 Grand National! We believe we have a good idea of what the winner of the most famous race on Earth will be (clue: he’s pictured!) and if you want to know the name, plus all the rest of our free horse racing tips, you’ll have to read on!
2.15 Aintree – Baily Green @ 11/4 (3.75) with Bet365
2.50 Aintree – Holywell @ 14/1 (6.50) with BetVictor
Longshot of the day:
4.15 Aintree – Rare Bob @ 22/1 (23.00) with Bet365
The first of our free horse racing tips on Grand National day is Baily Green in the 2.15 at Aintree, the Maghull Novices’ Chase. The Mouse Morris trained seven year old ran a huge race in the Arkle to finish second to Simonsig and his trainer told everyone that his effort on that day was no fluke. He should be suited to Aintree, will enjoy the ground and at a best price of 11/4 (3.75) with Bet365 to land a race with just six runners, he rates a value bet in my eyes.
Jonjo O’Neill’s Holywell is the second of our horse racing tips on Saturday April 6th, the 2.50 at Aintree, the Liverpool Hurdle. At a current best price of 14/1 (6.50) with BetVictor, the six year old would on any other day be my “Longshot of the day”! That price is huge value though, based on his last time out effort in the Pertemps Final where he improved to win in style on today’s ground. He’s run well at the course in the past and I think he can surprise a few of the bigger names today. Back him Each-Way.
Our bigger priced Each-Way selection for Saturday 6th April could only come from one race, the 4.15 at Aintree – the Grand National. The Dessie Hughes trained Rare Bob is now currently a best price of 22/1 (23.00) with Bet365 (we advised him at 40/1 two weeks ago) and he can run a big race today. He’s been aimed at the Grand National and has been steadily improving over the season, ready to peak today. He ran promisingly enough in the Bobbyjo Chase before improving to run into a place at Naas in his final preparation run. He ticks all of the important boxes in terms of the profile of a potential Grand National winner, and is definitely worth an Each-Way punt.
