We were unlucky not to land a big double with Monday’s horse racing betting tips as our nap was denied by a neck, while our Each-Way play scored at an SP of 8/1 (advised 17/2). Today we’ve a couple of fancies from Thirsk and are hopeful of another big run from our Each-Way selection (pictured winning at Musselburgh) who looks overpriced this morning at odds of 14/1 (15.00) with William Hill…
Horse racing betting tip of the day:
3.10 Thirsk – Nurpur
Current odds: 11/4 (3.75) with SkyBet
3.40 Thirsk – Al Muheer
Current odds: 14/1 (15.00) with William Hill
The strongest of our horse racing betting tips for Tuesday September 17th goes in the 3.10 at Thirsk, where Nurpur really ought to be favourite to win but instead is priced up at 11/4 (3.75) with SkyBet this morning. The filly is enjoying an exceptional year having failed to place just twice in her ten races during 2013, a run that includes three victories. Her last time out effort (5th of 15) was hardly a disgrace as she was pushed right up in class and a return to today’s grade, as well as a return to 1m (a trip that has seen her win 2 out of 3 races), should also see her return to winning ways.
Our Each-Way bet for Tuesday September 17th is Ruth Carr’s Al Muheer, who looks an enormous price at 14/1 (15.00) with William Hill this morning. His form has been up and down of late but the eight year old has shown glimpses of a return to his best, no more so than when fifth at Chester last time out and far from disgraced. Although most of his winning has been done on better ground, he has won on Good to Soft (including at this course) so I’m not overly concerned by this. Dropping back down in class today at a course where he runs well (a win and a runner-up finish from four runs at Thirsk), the gelding has won off higher handicap marks than today’s and I fancy him to run well today.
