Two of our horse racing betting tips for Thursday June 27th are trained by Richard Fahey; one has a strong chance in a contest at Hamilton, the other (pictured) is an interesting 14/1 (15.00) outsider with BetVictor. For full details of all our free racing tips, read on…
5.00 Newcastle – San Cassiano @ 3/1 (4.00) with Bet365
7.50 Hamilton – Simply Shining @ 3/1 (4.00) with Paddy Power
Longshot of the day:
3.00 Newcastle – Justonefortheroad @ 14/1 (15.00) with BetVictor
San Cassiano is the first of our horse racing betting tips for Thursday June 27th, currently priced up at 3/1 (4.00) with Bet365 to land the 5.00 at Newcastle. Ruth Carr’s six year old reappears quickly under a penalty having won comfortably last week at Ripon, in better company than he will face today. Based on that form, the current odds on offer represent huge value and given that conditions will be in his favour and his only run at the course yielded a second place finish, I’m struggling to find a negative word to write about him.
The second of Thursday’s horse racing betting tips is also priced at 3/1 (4.00), but this time with Paddy Power. Richard Fahey’s Simply Shining was only beaten by three parts of a length last time out, suggesting that she might be ready to return to winning ways. She’ll act on the ground, she’s bred to improve with time and I fully expect her to win what looks to be a fairly ordinary six runner race.
Our bigger priced Each-Way tip of the day is Justonefortheroad in the 3.00 at Newcastle. The seven year old is only 4lbs higher than his last winning mark with a 5lb claimer in the saddle (but he has won off higher than this in the past anyway) and drops back down to Class 2 after his seventh place finish in a York Listed race last time out. Versatile with regards the ground and tactics, I expect him to be held up in a contest that will see several horses vying for the lead, setting the race up for something like our selection. At the current best price of 14/1 (15.00) with BetVictor, Richard Fahey’s gelding just seems too big not to back.
