Horse Racing Betting Tips, Thursday July 4th, EpsomWe’ve taken an early look at Thursday’s evening meetings from Epsom and Newbury, and have picked out what we feel are the three best horse racing betting tips of the day. Amongst them is a three year old that’s currently a best price of 10/1 (11.00) with Bet365. Read on for full details…

Recommended bets:
7.10 Epsom – La Fortunata @ 3/1 (4.00) with Bet365

8.00 Newbury – Celestial Bay @ 9/2 (5.50) with Paddy Power

Longshot of the day:
7.45 Epsom – Kimberella @ 10/1 (11.00) with Bet365

Believe it or not, the 7.10 at Epsom is the first race of the day to feature one of our horse racing betting tips. The six year old mare La Fortunata seems a big price at the current odds of 3/1 (4.00) with Bet365, given that the race contains just six runners, which should allow her to dictate things up front. On seasonal reappearance she went down by the narrowest of margins at this course, before putting in another creditable performance at the track in the Epsom Dash last time out, finishing sixth. I suspect she prefers six furlongs to the minimum trip, as she’s won three of her four career victories at that distance, and I expect her to win this.

The second of Thursday’s horse racing betting tips goes in the 8.00 at Newbury. Celestial Bay is currently best priced 9/2 (5.50) with Paddy Power and that could be generous. I expect Amosite to make the running with our selection well drawn to pop neatly in behind her, so the race could fall into her lap. Her debut handicap mark seems workable and in her three career runs to date, she’s posted consistent speed figures and generally performed with credit. I can’t see the extra furlong being a problem either, given how she ran last time out when shedding her maiden tag.

Our bigger priced, Each-Way recommendation for Thursday July 4th is Kimberella in the 7.45 at Epsom. Michael Attwater’s three year old didn’t tear up any trees on his sole visit to Epsom two starts ago, but that was in much better company than today. In fact, he hasn’t really shone at all so far in his short career, save for his sole victory in a maiden, but his last time out effort suggested that the penny may have dropped and his handicap marked has slipped enough to suggest that a win in this type of race isn’t far around the corner. Who’s to say it won’t come in this race, at generous looking odds of 10/1 (11.00) with Bet365?
