Horse Racing Betting Tips - Ocean ApplauseToday’s horse racing betting tips come from Beverley, Bath and Kempton, where we have a selection currently priced up at 12/1 (13.00) with Ladbrokes. That particular three year old (pictured) was a 3 1/2 lengths winner last time out and looks well treated today. Read on for the full story on this and the rest of our racing tips…

Recommended bets:
5.15 Bath – Dreams Of Glory @ 4/1 (5.00) with Bet365

5.35 Beverley – Niceonemyson @ 7/2 (4.50) with Bet365

Longshot of the day:
8.00 Kempton – Ocean Applause @ 12/1 (13.00) with Ladbrokes

In the 5.15 at Bath, Dreams Of Glory is the first of our horse racing betting tips for Tuesday July 16th. The five year old horse has won four times already at this course (from 12 runs; two from six over course and distance) and although 6lbs higher than when last winning here in April, he showed last time out in better company that he’s capable of competing off his current mark. Returning to his favourite track and dropped back down in class, we can expect to see improvement and at the current odds of 4/1 (5.00) with Bet365, I’m keen to back him.

Niceonemyson looks to have a great chance of losing his maiden status in the 5.35 at Beverley, based on his last time out third over course and distance. The race prior to that he was a nose away from winning in a higher class race, while the four year old followed up with that placed effort last time under a 7lb claimer, also a class higher than today’s race. That jockey keeps the ride today and now that the pair are familiar with each other, we could see some improvement (not that he would need to improve much to win what looks a weak race). I’m all over the 7/2 (4.50) that’s currently on offer with Bet365.

Our longshot Each-Way betting tip for Tuesday July 16th is Ocean Applause, currently rated a 12/1 (13.00) chance with Ladbrokes to land the 8.00 at Kempton. John Ryan’s three year old has run well in his two runs since a rather optimistic tilt at the Derby, finishing second before shedding his maiden tag last time out. He won that race with plenty in hand and you would think there’s still more to come from the gelding; the only question mark is whether or not he will carry the form over to the all weather (hence the price). Based on his sire Royal Applause, I’d say there’s a good chance that he will and I’m certainly prepared to put my money where my mouth is.
