Horse Racing Betting Tips OsmosiaFeatured amongst our horse racing betting tips for Thursday August 29th is a 14/1 (15.00) shot (with Bet365) at Fontwell. This mare (pictured) actually landed the 2012 renewal of her race today off a higher handicap mark, so that price seems generous. Betting Tips:
3.20 Stratford – Temple Lord @ 9/4 (3.25) with BetVictor

6.40 Lingfield – Story Writer @ 5/1 (6.00) with Ladbrokes

Longshot of the day:
5.30 Fontwell – Osmosia @ 14/1 (15.00) with Bet365

The opening selection of Thursday August 29th’s horse racing betting tips comes from the 3.20 at Stratford, where Temple Lord is currently rated a 9/4 (3.25) shot with BetVictor. The price may not seem big at first, but this is only a five runner affair and our selection bounced back from an average spell of form with a victory last time out. The seven year old grey’s last visit to Stratford resulted in a nose defeat and he’s only 1lb higher in the handicap than on that day, so it looks set up for another good performance today.

The William Knight trained Story Writer is the next of our horse racing betting tips for Thursday, running in the 6.40 at Lingfield. The four year old may have failed to finish with his head in front in ten attempts, but on seven of those occasions he finished as runner up! He ran really well to finish second over course and distance three outings ago and he appears to still be on an upward curve. He’s more than capable of winning a race of this nature and the current price of 5/1 (6.00) with Ladbrokes about that happening today is very tempting indeed.

Our bigger priced Each-Way longshot selection for Thursday August 29th is Chris Gordon’s Osmosia, currently a 14/1 (15.00) chance with Bet365 to land the 5.30 at Fontwell. The eight year old hasn’t been in the best form of late, but the handicapper has cut her some serious slack and let’s not forget that she is a course and distance winner having landed this race last year (off a mark of 6lbs higher than today). On the face of it, you’d fancy the odds on favourite Sugar Hiccup to hack up but as we know all know, these things don’t always go according to plan and our selection is well placed to take advantage of any below par performances. Besides, at the current prices we’ll be happy enough with a place.
