The horse racing betting tips returned in style yesterday, as our nap Call of Duty obliged at Ayr, at an SP of 11/2 (6.50). We’re hopeful of more joy today with a couple of selections running on the All Weather at Kempton, including a 17/2 (9.50) chance with BetVictor that looks far too big a price.
Horse racing betting tip of the day:
2.10 Kempton – Starlit Cantata
Current odds: 4/1 (5.00) with Paddy Power
4.10 Kempton – Thane Of Cawdor
Current odds: 17/2 (9.50) with BetVictor
Eve Johnson Houghton’s Starlit Cantata looks to have a great chance of victory in the 2.10 at Kempton and this three year old filly is the first of our horse racing betting tips for Monday April 28th. She ran really well last time out at this track and trip before being badly hampered, finishing fourth despite that trouble in running and was still only beaten a couple of lengths. The winner of that race has since gone on to win again in better company and our selection’s handicap mark remains unchanged. All things considered, she looks set to make amends today and at a current best price of 4/1 (5.00) with Paddy Power, she rates a great bet in my eyes.
Our bigger priced Each-Way tip for Monday April 28th is Thane Of Cawdor in the 4.10 at Kempton. This five year old gelding is a consistent sort who has been running well of late, with form figures of 268112 so far in 2014, all from races at this course over distances of 10f, 11f and 12f. The selection’s handicap mark remains unchanged despite his last time out runner up finish (which came over today’s course and distance) when beaten by Time Square, who re-opposes today. However, Time Square – shorter in the betting than our tip – is actually 3lbs worse off today and when you factor in our jockey’s 3lb claim, that’s a total of 6lbs in our favour. The other threat, favourite Wall Street Boss, hasn’t seen a racecourse since winning over C&D back in November, so might be rusty. At the current odds of 17/2 (9.50) with BetVictor, I feel our selection offers the best value in the field.
