On Sunday April 27th there are two runners at Ayr that catch our eye. The first of our horse racing betting tips is a Jim Goldie runner that has a great Each-Way chance based on his course and distance effort four outings back, while an hour later, we’ve picked out an improver that should benefit from a step up in trip. Horse racing betting tip of the day:
4.00 Ayr – Call of Duty
Current odds: 5/1 (6.00) with Paddy Power
3.00 Ayr – Go Go Green
Current odds: 9/1 (10.00) with Bet365
The first of our horse racing betting tips for Sunday April 27th runs in the 4.00 at Ayr, where Call of Duty looks to be generously priced up by Paddy Power at early odds of 5/1 (6.00). The nine year old gelding was tried in blinkers last time out at Musselburgh, which seemed to get a bit extra out of him, as he ran well to finish third. That improved effort came over a mile and given how well he finished the race, he will surely enjoy this step up to 10f.
An hour before that race, Jim Goldie saddles our Each-Way play of the day – Go Go Green, in the 3.00 at Ayr. The eight year old gelding can be backed at 9/1 (10.00) with Bet365 this morning, which is a big price based on his course and distance effort four outings ago. He finished second by just a neck that day on ground that didn’t suit him, before finishing fifth next time out – again over course and distance – but stepped right up in grade. He’s yet to find his best form so far in 2014 but it’s still early days, he’s now just 2lbs higher than that runner-up finish and the forecast going should bring out some improvement.
